A Nature’s Surprise Journey: A School Trip Meets Jingzhe (Awakening of Insects)
On March 5th, we had a special school-wide trip, and what made it even more delightful was that it coincided with “Jingzhe,” one of the 24 Solar Terms. It felt as if nature itself was cheering for us—with a clap of spring thunder waking the sleeping world and stirring our boundless curiosity and love for nature.
That day, we stepped out of our classrooms and into nature’s embrace. Along the way, the laughter of classmates was like the warm breeze of spring, dispelling the sluggishness of winter. Some students chased butterflies in the fields, only to get “lost” in the intoxicating fragrance of flowers. Others picked up stones by the roadside and discovered a tiny ant, exclaiming excitedly, “Jingzhe has truly arrived!” Even the teachers, caught up in the joyful atmosphere, set aside their usual sternness and joined in the “wild fun” of nature’s classroom.
Jingzhe (Awakening of Insects) symbolizes the vitality of spring, and our school trip flourished in this vibrant energy. We didn’t just encounter nature; we shared an intimate “embrace” with it. On this day, we measured the land with our footsteps, discovered beauty with our eyes, and felt the rhythm of life with our hearts.
Finally, let’s carry this delightful “surprise” back to our school and let nature’s vitality continue to grow in our studies and lives. When will the next trip be? Let’s look forward to it together!
